MLB Part II: Big Papi becomes U.S. citizen. "David Ortiz has been the heart and soul of Red Sox Nation for many years," (Larry) Lucchino (Red Sox President) said in a statement released by the team yesterday. "Today, we are also proud that he has become an official citizen of the American nation." Not listening to the Twins and their "hit to the opposite field" hitting philosophy hasn't worked out too badly for Big Papi.
