The Mouths That Roared

The Vikings' Pat Williams and Jared Allen have given the Green Bay Packers plenty of bulletin board material for the September 8th season opener at Lambeau Field.

Pat Williams: "They're going through all that as a team, trying to figure out if Favre or Rodgers was the man, while we've got the same team we had all off-season," he said. "I'm glad they got all that darn press, 'cause when we go down there it'll be the kid's first start and his first damn loss. I'm going to try to crush all of 'em."

Jared Allen: "Playing Green Bay on Monday night to start the season, that's everything you want," Allen said. "Hopefully, I can put my helmet square in the back of his spine. If I can do that and knock the ball loose, it'll be a good day."

When Fat Pat says he's going to "crush all of 'em" he's talking about Packers players not bratwurst and nachos or anything else the Cheeseheads slam down their gullets, right? And, Jared Allen leading with his helmet and hitting Rodgers in the spine...now that's one classy guy. We'll cut Allen some slack, it was probably just the booze talking.
